Abstract

Sexuality is one of the main devices of control and production of subjectivity in western society. Thus, it is believed that is fundamental for the psychology, in the present, to problematize some of the yours basics concepts that organize the form how we understand the constitution of the subjects, many explicitly guided for an heteronormative logic about gender and sexuality. The present work uses theoretical tools presented for Michel Foucault and Judith Butler, to point epistemological and political uncomfortables arising from uncritical adoption of naturalizing notions of gender, sexuality and subjectivity by psychology. At end, for example, present some notes about the discursive production of the sexual difference in a handbook of human development used in psychology graduation courses.
