Considering that the attitudes of health professionals influence their care practices, this study aimed to measure the attitudes of these professionals towards alcohol, alcoholism and alcoholism. 288 professionals from 12 Psychosocial Alcohol / Drug Attention Centers were interviewed through the Attitudes Scale Facing Alcohol, Alcoholism and Alcoholism. There was a tendency for positive attitudes, especially for professionals with higher education, who developed interventions aimed at alerting the risks of alcohol consumption and developing a critical awareness of problems. However, workers presented negative attitudes towards the etiology of alcoholism and those who developed abstinence-oriented interventions presented less positive attitudes.
