The term resilience refers to individuals who can regain emotional balance after great adversity. However, there is little consensus on the best way to evaluate this ability. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the scientific literature related to the assessment of the resilience in Brazil. For this, we used the databases: Periodicos CAPES / MEC, SciELO and Pepsic, using the key words: assessment and resilience. 314 productions were found and 31 of these were selected. There was a predominance of empirical studies, focused on adults, published, mostly (74%) in the form of article. The strategy most used by the researchers was the qualitative assessment. It was concluded that the assessment of resilience is a developing theme on the national scene
