Abstract

NEGREIROS, Fauston  and  ROCHA, Janaina Oliveira. Resilience and Schooling: a process of coping with adversities experienced in High School. Psicol. pesq. [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.3, pp. 62-72. ISSN 1982-1247.  http://dx.doi.org/10.24879/2018001200300578.

This study aims to analyze the resilience emergence in the midst of solving problems in schooling process of High School students. There were 204 students, 54, 4% female and 44, and 6% male, with average age of 15 years old. A sociodemographic questionnaire and a guiding question were used. The analyses were carried out through SPSS and IramuteQ® Softwares. The results suggest that the students use different strategies of coping with adversities, most of them mediated by the relationship with the other. There is the need to invest in teacher training, so that they can understand the meaning of resilience development and the family and school partnership, since they can act as networks of protection and promotion of a whole and contextualized education.
