Abstract

COSTA, Aldemar Ferreira da  and  BARROS, João Paulo Pereira. "Community protection cell": effects in the daily life of black young people in Fortaleza. Psicol. pesq. [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.3, pp. 173-192. ISSN 1982-1247.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34019/1982-1247.2019.v13.26818.

This paper aims to problematize the psychosocial implications of the Community Protection Cell (CPC) implantation in the region of Jangurussu, on the outskirts of the city of Fortaleza, based on the discursive productions by black young people on such security device. Methodologically, the research adopted cartography as a research-intervention method. In order to analyze such matters, we adopted Foucault´s studies on security devices, biopolitics and governmentality, anticolonial studies on necropolitics and their implications on black bodies and peripheral territorialities. The results indicate that such implantation, as being guided by a necro and biopolítical rationality, has involved the production of fear and the maintenance of a logic of control over racialized and historically stigmatized bodies and territories.

Keywords : Necrobiopolitc; Security device; Youth; Racism.
