This research aimed to analyze the self-perception of lesbian women about their femininity, emphasizing the dissonance between lesbian and heterosexual women. The instrument used was the Thematic Apperception Test according to the Morval system Forty women between 25 and 35 years old participated, half identified as lesbian and half as heterosexual. The categories that showed significant mean difference were Couple, Fun, Hero Idealization, Excitement, Antisocial Autonomy, Duo, Exercised Nutrition and Conformity. It can be considered that there is not a "typical" femininity that distinguishes lesbian and heterosexual women, once femininity seems to derive from subjective experiences.
