Abstract

MASTROIANNI, Fábio de Carvalho et al. Child and adolescent sexual violence in criminal proceedings: a documentary research. Psicol. pesq. [online]. 2021, vol.15, n.2, pp. 1-25. ISSN 1982-1247.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34019/1982-1247.2021.v15.30178.

The objective was to know and analyze reports of sexual violence against children and adolescents through a documentary analysis of the criminal processes. We found 43 lawsuits related to 49 victims and 44 indicted, in which the violence was allegedly practiced by men who were part of the victims' family (65.9%), occurred in the domestic environment (74.4%), including, generally, only the accused and the victim (86%), who were mostly women (87.8%). It was concluded that the use of criminal proceedings files is relevant. The similarity between the results and the data found in the scientific literature indicates the importance of using this information in education and prevention programs, and of reflecting on strategies for cases that do not reach the authorities.

Keywords : Sexual violence; Criminal law; Documentary analysis; Childhood; Adolescence.
