Abstract

MACEDO, João Paulo; SILVA, Brisana Índio do Brasil de Macedo  and  DIMENSTEIN, Magda. Training in Psychology and Equity Policies: challenges to act in SUS. Psicol. pesq. [online]. 2021, vol.15, n.2, pp. 1-24. ISSN 1982-1247.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34019/1982-1247.2021.v15.30067.

In the 30-year anniversary of the Unified Health System, this article analyses training in Psychology for public health, focusing on policies to promote equity. It is a documental study carried out with 21 Pedagogical Projects of Psychology Courses in Brazil, which approach themes related to public health in interface with gender and ethnic-racial relationship studies. 111 subjects were identified with discussions on public health. However, only 7 present an interface with gender and ethnic-racial relations, which deal with: anthropology of health in relation to the health-care process; markers of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, race and generationality in the debate on social determination and promotion of equity and; attention to the health of indigenous peoples. Therefore, the strengthening of this debate is of utmost importance to sustain a project of critical and reflective formation in Psychology in the face of the recrudescent scenario of the conservative project for the country.

Keywords : Psychology; Public health; Health equity; Gender studies; Racial and ethnic relations.
