Abstract

SANTOS, Gleidson Jordan dos  and  SANTOS, Larissa Medeiros Marinho dos. Bioecological Model and Environmental Psychology: a systematic review on adolescence and urban spaces. Psicol. pesq. [online]. 2022, vol.16, n.2, pp.1-21. ISSN 1982-1247.  https://doi.org/10.34019/1982-1247.2022.v16.32369.

A search was carried out, oriented by the PRISMA guide, in the three main environmental psychology journals and in the LILACS, PePSIC, and SciELO indexes for the descriptors adolescent, urban-space, Bronfenbrenner, and bioecological, between 2015 and 2020. The objective was to carry out a systematic review involving studies of these fields, to compare the definitions found, and to discuss the approaches and distances from these theories. The results showed that younger adolescents tend to be treated as children and older as adults. Studies that used the approaches together would be able to go deeper into the relationship between social context and physical environment.

Keywords : Adolescents; Environmental Psychology; Bioecological Model; Systematic Review.
