Abstract

CARVALHO, Frederico Zeymer Feu de. On the writing of singular existence: sinthome and event of the body. Rev. Estud. Lacan. [online]. 2010, vol.3, n.4, pp. p-pp. ISSN 1983-0769.

The present article aims to evoke psychoanalytical and logical issues concerning singular existence. For that matter, the Lacanian notion of sinthome is mobilized along with the last developments of J.-A. Miller’s “Lacanian Orientation Course”. It exploits, afterwards, some points of connection and disconnection between Lacan and Quine, regarding the relation between entity and identity. At last, it approximates the singularity of the sinthome with the event of the body, from which its consistency is derived

Keywords : Singularity; Sinthome; Event of the body.
