Abstract

PEREIRA, María Liliana Inés Emparan Martins. About the hospitality and the hostility: a discussion of the conflict concerning the immigrant. Contextos Clínic [online]. 2011, vol.4, n.1, pp. 8-17. ISSN 1983-3482.

This article analyses the immigration phenomenon having Psychoanalysis as reference. The theoretic study is based on an off ered fictional situation discussing the movie Peacetime (Filho, 2009). Starting from the concepts of hospitality and hostility, it looks for discussing both the ambivalence existing in relation to the immigrant as well as to the foreigner in ourselves. The article concludes that territory moving causes effects in the subjectivity which can result in changing the subjective position since the subject seems to be able to deal with the primordial hospitality-hostility that constituted him and the estrangement reissued by immigration

Keywords : immigration; hostility-hospitality; psychoanalysis.
