Abstract

ANTUNES, Marcos Henrique  and  MORE, Carmen Leontina Ojeda Ocampo. Family, labor and retirement: a review of the scientific production in the Brazilian scenario. Contextos Clínic [online]. 2014, vol.7, n.2, pp. 145-154. ISSN 1983-3482.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4013/ctc.2014.72.03.

This study presents an integrative review of the Brazilian scientific production on the issues of family, labor and retirement in order to identify the state of the art and to analyze emphases and interrelations observed in publications on these themes. To this end, queries on databases such as Scielo and Index Psi were performed, searching for articles presenting results of scientific investigations published in Portuguese between 2003 and 2013. A total of 25 articles have been identified through keyword combination, which predominantly discuss labor in relation to family and retirement. Results indicate scarcity of scientific production relating specifically to retirement and family. The importance of considering familial contexts in research approaching labor and retirement issues is discussed considering the complex factors which overlap in its understanding.

Keywords : family; work; retirement.
