Abstract

SERRALHEIRO, Regiane Ribeiro de Aquino; HELENO, Maria Geralda Viana  and  FARHAT, Cecília Aparecida Vaiano. Adaptive efficacy: a systematic review of brazilian publications (2012 to 2016). Contextos Clínic [online]. 2018, vol.11, n.2, pp. 232-242. ISSN 1983-3482.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4013/ctc.2018.112.08.

The adaptation can be understood as an essential condition for human survival in the face of everyday problems. To evaluate the adaptive efficacy, which is the degree of adaptation of the individual, the Operative Adaptive Diagnostic Scale (EDAO) was developed. Given the wide range of possibilities of use of the EDAO, this article is a systematic review of the publications concerning this scale in the period between 2012 and 2016. The searches were carried out in the databases BVS-PSI, Portal Periodical of CAPES, PEPSIC, Index PSI Periodic, SciELO, Lilacs and IBICT, using the keywords "EDAO" and "Adaptive Efficacy". There were 120 publications, of which 30 were excluded because they were repeated, 61 because they had no relation to the theme and 4 because they were complete papers published in Scientific Initiation, totaling 25 publications analyzed in their entirety. Regarding this theme, the majority (40%) deals with the psychic dynamics of patients, the evolution of the psychotherapeutic process in the use of Psychotherapy or Brief Operational Psychotherapy (PBO) (28%) and studies on chronic diseases (8%). In addition to the studies with EDAO (56%), there was a growing use of the self-report version (32%). It was concluded that EDAO is shown to be sensitive both to diagnosis and prognosis, as well as to observe the evolution of clinical conditions after a psychotherapeutic intervention.

Keywords : EDAO; adaptation; Operative Adaptive Diagnostic Scale; psychological assessment.
