Resumen

BERTTRAN, Déa E.. Long-Lived Conjugality: the loving bonds of homoaffective couples. Contextos Clínic [online]. 2021, vol.14, n.1, pp. 3-25. ISSN 1983-3482.

The aim of this study was to understand how long-term homoaffective couples that have over 30 years of life in common, one male and one female, and had recognized their homosexuality and lesbianity during a pathologizing social context, managed to build their conjugalities independently of family and institutional support, considered essential for the couple to establish themselves. When analyzing homoaffective conjugality in middle-age, it was sought to understand how its members experienced the heteronormative legacy they received, as well as some of the psychic dynamics that structured the dyad. This is a clinical-qualitative study, based on semi-structured interviews conducted with the dyad, with inferences from discourse analysis, by the psychoanalysis of linkage and couple. The results revealed a bond with a fusional characteristic in the female couple, but with individual development of both, while the male showed respect for the differences, with alternating periods of fusionality and alterity. In both, there was a similarity of investments and of honoring agreements. The analysis showed that homoaffective love alliances can be built and remain stable even when they are lived in anonymity and without social sponsorship. The relevance of this research is to update clinical and management concepts in order to have a clinic to new loving models.

Palabras clave : homoaffective couples; long-lived conjugality; psychoanalysis of linkage.
