The text discusses a paradoxical aspect of the social rehabilitation of psychiatric patients. Often this rehabilitation does not take into account the peculiarity of the symptom, which is the fundamental condition for which the clinic is not cleared by the social demands. We need a separation between the measures focused on social ideals and measures focused on clinical interest. These include the symptom, the object a and a critical approach to the concept of biopsychosocial’s being.
