Abstract

PARAVIDINI, João Luiz Leitão  and  ALVARENGA, Cérise. Therapeutical Accompaniment (TA) and psychological knowledge: facing history. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2008, vol.1, n.2, pp. 172-188. ISSN 1983-8220.

This text contains considerations arising from a master's degree dissertation on the clinic of Therapeutical Accompaniment (TA) entitled: "Transits of the TA clinic: from a historical to a everyday route". Through the historical exploration of the concepts and functions attributed to the TA, this research identified a movement of practical and conceptual expansion of the TA clinic, which makes use of theories comes from "Psych" knowledge (psychiatry, psychoanalysis, psychology). By "listening" of the speeches of psychologists-TAs on their daily tasks, this article reflects on the constitution of a specialty of their practice and the possible effects of its creation/reinvention. On the one hand, this practice, having been constituted from the "Psych" knowledge, incorporates different manners of subjectivity, inherited from different values or ethics that permeate such knowledge, reproducing them; on the other hand, it informs and demands the necessity to construct a clinical practice committed with the complexity and the dynamism to which the "Psych" knowledge is submitted.

Keywords : Psychology; Therapeutic Accompaniment; Clinical; History.
