The objective of the case study is to learn of the role that work plays in the life of former prison inmate, how this person faces the world after his release from prison and how work affects his post-prison social relations. We seek to verify, specifically, whether work helps a former prisoner not be a recidivist. To this end, we adopted as research methodology the method of collecting the life history, examining, then, the subjective and objective conditions of the research subject from the perspective of Work Psychology and Psychosociology.
