Violence is regarded as a public health problem for it compromises several people's health and life quality, and the domestic environment is the place of prevailing expression of violence against children and adolescents. An electronic search was conducted in the databases: Web of Science, Psyc Info, Lilacs, Scielo, and Pub Med, by means of the association of the terms "domestic violence", "infamily violence", and "adolescence", in the period from 2007 to 2011. 28 articles were found on the issue, which seems to be little explored in their associations. More than half of the texts did not present adolescence as a differentiated category, approaching "children and adolescents" together. Brazil was the country which most presented publications. The prevailing issues were: victimization and/or exposition to domestic violence and associated problems; characteristics/description of violent acts violent acts against children and adolescents; perceptions of parents and children; perceptions of professionals on domestic violence.
