Abstract

SILVA, Alyne Alvarez  and  MELLO, Ricardo Pimentel. Technologies of a legal device and their effects on the construction of a deviant biography. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2012, vol.5, n.2, pp. 208-222. ISSN 1983-8220.

In this paper we present the theoretical and methodological paths used in a study that aimed to discern the modes of subjectivity present in the complex relations of knowledge-power of a legal device, capable of producing a specific category of individual: the infractor. The research uses fragments of Evaluative Reports that made up the dossier of a young boy who was undergoing Socio-educational Internment Measures. From the analysis of this document, we discuss a set of disciplinary techniques, regulations and practices of same, and some of the knowledge that underlies these techniques because they are considered legitimate. The government of individualization enlisted in the legal instrument in which the young boy is caught, is looking to discipline him and normalize him in the direction of what would be a subject citizen. To do so, necessarily binds the youth with the identify of an offender, blaming him almost exclusively for his actions, regardless of a critical and historical perspective of his non-citizenship.

Keywords : Legal Device; Subjectivity; Socio-Educational Measure; Infringer Subject.
