Abstract

This research aimed to describe and understand the process of psychological development and training of pre-Catholic seminarians through the Growth Group. The Growth Group is a space for personal development in which participants can reflect and discuss their daily experiences in a psychological perspective. This research was based on a qualitative approach and a humanist theoretical framework. For data collection were used versions of meaning, fieldnotes, and a questionnaire assessing the group work. The research result revealed that the Growth Group promoted participants psychological development and training through the attribution of new meanings to different areas of life related to priestly formation and personal growth
