The current Brazilian paradigm of psychological evaluation in the area traffic is standardized by the National Traffic Council (CONTRAN), which determines in resolution the stipulation borderline term for any psychologist who acts in such an activity, (and wants to keep working in it), who gets a specialist degree in Traffic Psychology. Although the profession of a psychologist in Brazil is one regulamentation and supervision which are normatively assigned to the Federal Council of Psychology (CFP) and its Regional Councils, concerning matters of traffic Brazilian law gives the agencies that regulate and supervise traffic issues prerogatives that overlap those of CFP and CRPs themselves as to the specific requirements for psychologists, highlighting an antinomy pertaining to the legal responsibilities of each agency in relation to the exercise of Psychology. The question promotes discussions that permeate the legal logic of the competence assigned to CONTRAN in relation to the activity of the psychologist.
