Abstract

The objective is to investigate the profile and expectations of graduating in Psychology from a private college in the north. A quantitative and exploratory research was conducted from a sample of 28 students graduating in Psychology in the state of Rondônia. The results showed a mean age of 27.15 years, 24 people (86%) female; 13 people (48%) had as the initial goal of graduation "to help people"; 15 people (57%) rated the training process as "good"; regarding the level of satisfaction with the preparation for performance in the future 14 students (50%) considered training regular; 21 students (75%) said they had procured their expectations during training. It is emphasized that, in the perception of the subjects there are more possibilities of professional performance, even though the clinical career has been identified as an initial possibility. It concludes that it is similar in profile with other research papers, besides pointing to a multifaceted training in this region of the country.
