Abstract

FRANCA, Cassandra Pereira. Psychoanalisis can help stop the treadmill of sexual violence?. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2015, vol.8, n.spe, pp. 234-247. ISSN 1983-8220.

The article focuses on presenting the changes occurred in the last two decades concerning the profile of infant clientele that arrive at the Department of Psychology clinic seeking psychotherapy. The monitoring of these cases, during supervision, allows us to clearly observe the impacts of social violence in childhood: a significant number of children attending these psychotherapeutic treatments were victims of trauma, or because they have witnessed their parents' being murdered, or even have suffered physical violence themselves. This reality inevitably brings with it reverberations for the identification processes in construction - a result that reflects the risk of the growth of violence in an exponential manner, since the identification with the aggressor is of course one of the effects of the cleavage processes that is required so that the child can continue obeying and loving those violent adults who are responsible for their physical and emotional sustenance.

Keywords : Child psychoanalysis; Trauma; Identification with the aggressor; Social violence.
