Abstract

LINHARES, Antonio Roziano. A monologue between the logic of work and logic of desire in the era of liquid modernity. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2015, vol.8, n.2, pp.303-319. ISSN 1983-8220.

Banking as a job revels itself as vulnerability tool of workers, who are immersed in a setting dominated by instrumental rationality and financial logic, which sees men as organizational tools. Such factors contribute to the mismatch between expectations of workers and organizations and between the logic of work and the logic of desire, reason why it is necessary to identify the impact of the lack of dialogue between these logic fields. For this, the qualitative approach, the Clinical Sociology and Psychodynamics of Work, was used. The interviews revealed that the empowerment of competition and individualism fostered the monologue between work and desire and, therefore, the weakening of the meaning of work, the lack and litigation of desire as well as the sickness of workers in the face of the weakening of governance, which defeated by malpractice of desire has failed to limit autophagic competition among banks.

Keywords : Bank; Work; Desire.
