Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Inara Rezende et al. Social entrepreneurship, postmodernism and psychology: understanding concepts, performances and contexts. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2016, vol.9, n.2, pp. 290-311. ISSN 1983-8220.

This study aimed at understanding social entrepreneurship and subjective characteristics of the entrepreneur in the postmodern context. Hence, a literature review of scientific articles, published in the last 15 years, was performed using the Scielo databank. The goal was to understand the current increase of social entrepreneurship actions, in other words, to understand which aspects of society are influencing, according to the sources, the creation of social enterprises and, as a consequence, of individuals who choose to build them. A mild involvement of psychology as a science and profession within the social entrepreneurship projects was observed. However, one may consider the Organizational and Occupational Psychology, by means of the so-called practical people management, may prove to be an important contributor to this phenomenon in the near future.

Keywords : Psychology; Social Entrepreneurship; Postmodernism.
