The Family Health Support Center (or NASF) emerges as a strategic priority of organization of primary care. The research was developed through the observation of NASF meetings with teams from the Family Health Strategy (ESF), field diaries analysis and interviews with professionals from the three Family Health Support Centers (NASF) studied in the city. The analyzes indicate that even though the teams know the guidelines, the organization and the tools, the appropriation and application of the knowledge and tools they have, in the analyzed scenario, only occurs partially and, sometimes, go against government guidelines. Therefore, it is concluded that NASF implementation process requires monitoring to consolidate some of its practices and to stop others that remain in the traditional logic of work management and health care
