Abstract

WERNECK-SOUZA, Juliana; FERREIRA, Mário César  and  SOARES, Kelma Jaqueline. Panorama of the Brazilian Production on the Insertion of People with Disabilities at Work: Challenges to Effective Inclusion. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2020, vol.13, n.1, pp.1-20. After 25 years of the "quota law" for people with disabilities in Brazilian companies with more than 100 employees, what is known about the insertion of this group in the labor market? A bibliometric study was carried out in order to form a panorama of Brazilian empirical publications between 2005 and 2016, from the search in databases with the markers of "disability" and "work". After evaluating a sample of 115 empirical papers, we verified that the production on the subject is still incipient and concentrated in some urban centers, even though it has been increasing. In addition, different conceptions of disability coexist, which impacts social relations and organizational practices that are still immature and far away from a real inclusive level. It is possible to observe a disadvantaged socioeconomic and occupational status of people with disabilities when compared to people without disabilities. Finally, suggestions are proposed for a research agenda in the area.
