Abstract

ESMERALDO FILHO, Carlos Eduardo et al. Homelles: a systematic review of scientific production in Brazil. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2021, vol.14, n.spe, pp. 1-22. ISSN 1983-8220.  http://dx.doi.org/10.36298/gerais202114e16979.

This systematic review aimed to characterize the scientific production in Brazil about homeless people. A search in SciELO and BIREME databases, using the descriptor homeless of articles published by Brazilian authors that portrayed national experiences in the areas of Human and Social Sciences from 2008 to January 2018 was performed. A total of 96 articles were identified, and 36 articles were selected and analyzed. The results were grouped in the social and health dimensions. The main results were an increase in the number of publications, mainly in health, publications coming from authors from the Southeast with a focus on São Paulo, qualitative research, street life in the social dimension and mental health and abusive consumption of alcohol and other drugs in the health dimension. We suggest the expansion of the research to other countries and more productions of theses and dissertations.
