This study investigated aspects of the relationship between education and professional performance in the context of Brazilian health and social care public policies (SUS e SUAS) of psychology graduates of São Carlos Federal University (UFSCar), between 2009 and 2013. The objectives of the research were: to characterize the education and professional performance field of the graduates; and to check the percentage and the specificities in the training of those who have worked in SUS and/or SUAS. From the total of 180 graduates form the analyzed period (total population), 165 people were contacted but only 74 responded to the questionnaire. Among the respondents (sample n=74), 39.2% (n=29) have already worked in SUS and/or SUAS. The analysis of the results articulates the educational and professional experiences reported with the other studies on the subject, the SUS and SUAS principles, and the course's Pedagogical Project.
