Abstract

RODRIGUES, Ariana Campana  and  YASUI, Silvio. Workshops to generate work and income in psychosocial attention: considerations about a health service and its production of care. Cad. Bras. Saúde Ment. [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.20, pp. 1-23. ISSN 1984-2147.

The current movement in the psychiatric field is based on different aspects, however, one of them is related to the ways mentally ill people can be part of the society. In the mental health area, there have been several experiments with workshops to promote opportunities to generate work and income. In this article, inspired by Cartography, we face this question considering the production of care in "Núcleo de Oficinas e Trabalho". Our study, in which such tool was presented, could demonstrate that these workshops are based on a psychosocial attention ethics, as they produce a community network care, empowering the participants in a way they could become more autonomous and in charge of their own story, and this contributed to their participation in society.

Keywords : Mental health; Psychiatric reform; Workshop; Solidarity-based economy.
