Abstract

The article is about the cultural projects in mental health services and seeks to understand and explain how culture, combined with the practice of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, may constitute citizenship tool for the mentally ill. The methodology uses basic exploratory qualitative research, and as an instrument for data collection semistructured interview and data analysis using thematic analysis, under the theoretical critical. The results show that the analyzed project produces an intentionality of social inclusion and provides Psychosocial Rehabilitation users of mental health services, although presenting contradictions as to the guidelines of the Psychiatric Reform and Culture Program "More Culture, More Health". It is observed that the project provides a distinctive cultural moment in everyday services and those involved with it, enlarging the places of the users and the service itself.
