Abstract

Many specific issues concerning to the process of restructuring the job in the frameworks were studied; later the research was circumscribed to the public administration, and finally extended to the particular cases. The main purpose was the comprehension, from the discourse of the people who had participated in the organizational restructuring program of the public sector, observing particular aspects relating to the way they face these processes. The methodology was applied to three public servants working for the state Executive Power, and who had been submitted to the restructuring process, based on the same proposal. Nine open and semi-structured personal interview were made, then an analysis of the samples was constituted. The results indicate: the job is a central activity on people lives and it's also connected to the sense of pleasure, although facing the negative image they elaborate regarding to the public service; the Quality Program has been received as a suitable implement able to guide the restructuring process, although some people don't believe it's applicable in the public sector; the changing has been seen as indispensable for the survival in the modern world, specially in the organizations; the commitment is vital, and the cooperation, the capacity to visualize the results and the leadership attitude are essential to asseverate the effectiveness ofthe modification; the recognized shifts show the alterations which have an essentially personal aspect
