OKIMOTO, Maria Lúcia Leite Ribeiro. Explicit statements of the tacit knowledge: a study of case in the industrial sector. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2004, vol.4, n.1, pp. 123-150. ISSN 1984-6657.

This study used simulated task as a tool to help making explicit a tacit knowledge of product inspection. The development of competence in inspection task was made in two stages: the first one consisted in collecting data of the task analysis and result analysis; the second one was the visual training. Initially, the main factors of visual performance were investigated, in order to help the construction ofthe competence in visual inspection tasks. The support given to us by the "Institut für Psychologie" Laboratory, in the Rheinisch Westhphalische Hochschule-Aachen, in Germany, was crucial for this study. The inspection task simulation let us evaluate some questions involved in the visual task, such as the correct position of the region where the defects weren't detected. With the inspection task simulation, it was also possible to obtain important data about the individual behavior of the inspectors
