This study aims at constructing and validating a scale of evaluation of the managerial styles adopted by the managers in the organization. Alter analyzing the evolution of the studies onleadership, three styles were evidenced. Thirty-three items were constructed to represent those three styles, and 27 of them presented theoretical consistency after the analysis of the judges. These items were applied to a sample of 328 people, employees of a state-owned company with headquarters in Brasilia-DF, 42.39 years old on average, heing 58.8% male and 40.9% female. The extraction of the factors using the method ofthe main axes (PAF), with rotation oblimin,indicated 3 groupings theoretically consistent with the definitions of the managerial styles. Factor 1 - relationship (9 items, a = .94), factor 2 - task (6 items, a = .72), fuctor 3 - s ituational (4 items, a = .82)
