Abstract

BRUNO-FARIA, Maria de Fátima; VEIGA, Heila Magali da Silva  and  MACEDO, Laura Ferreira. Creativity in the organizations: analysis of the brazilian scientific production in journals and books of Administration and Psychology. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2008, vol.8, n.1, pp. 142-163. ISSN 1984-6657.

The main objective of this article is to present an overview of the scientific production on creativity within the context of Brazilian organizations. The literature review was based on scientific articles published in Administration and Psychology magazines, books and works presented at the country's main Administration congress in the period ranging from 1997 to September 2006. The articles were fully read, with the goal to analyze the objectives, the authors' methodological and theoretical options and the most notable contributions towards the subject's comprehension. We noticed a substantial increase in the scientific production in the last few years where studies in the Administration field prevail, although suffering from a lack of theoretical approaches produced in the country and a prominence of descriptive and exploratory studies. Themes such as creative process, group creativity, creativity measures within the organizational context, among others, need to be investigated further. Finally, we present a research schedule in order to stimulate the increase in scientific studies regarding the subject and that may assist the practice within organizational context, as well as show the need to advance in the comprehension of creativity in all its complexity

Keywords : creativity; organizational context; scientific production.
