The present study had as propose to analyse the role of the workplace and his influence in alcoholism workers treatment, as well as to trace a profile of these workers treated in a worker health department. The sample counted 23 males with an average age of 44 years old, in treatment in a work health division at workplace. All participants showed the DSM-IV criteria for alcohol dependence. Quality evaluation was made by analysis of "medical records" and a semi structural interview. A discussion is proposed about the workplace and the organization of the work acting in the recovery on different aspects. In their speeches, these workers manifest the importance of the workplace, where they spends most of their time. The workplace was the main detection source of alcohol related problems, it could act as principal place of support, but also to stimulate a relapse depending on the relationship existing
