This paper proposes on the role of psychology in the Guidance for Retirement and the new possibilities of action of such professionals. The discussion was based on the presentation of three realities to the retired population: demographic changes due to increased life expectancy worldwide, the apparent deficiency in meeting the demands of retirees and new trends in the retirement process. The look of Psychology for these three realities linked to the centrality of work in the lives of individuals and the various changes caused by the rupture identification about the work when he retired. From the reflections, it is proposed to expand the possibilities of Psychological Guidance for Retirement, which consists of counseling throughout the career of the subject, taking into account the career, the choices made throughout life, personal satisfaction or not of their own
