Organizations invest huge amounts in training, development, and education of people (TD&E), with the intention that a large number of workers and professionals positively transfer their learned knowledge into practice in the workplace. Thus it is necessary to understand the learning transfer processes in different professional and corporate environments. Based on the foreign and national literature of Organizational Psychology and TD&E from the past 20 years, this paper aims to contribute to the field of instructional systems evaluation, to provide a critical literature analysis of Training Transfer and Work Training Impact, discussing concepts, definitions, and measures, and presenting research results. It discusses the quality of existing instruments and the relationship between variables of interest in TD&E. The conclusions of the analysis suggest the importance of investigating client and training characteristics, trainee learning and reactions, and the necessary conditions for the expression of skills in the work environment of egress, whether corporate or open
