Abstract

ALEVATO, Hilda. Loconeurotic syndrome revisited: the everyday life of teachers. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2012, vol.12, n.2, pp. 229-243. ISSN 1984-6657.

This article presents an extract from the "Organization of Work and Suffering" research conducted by the Education and Health at Work Group, at UFF. Its goal is to discuss characteristics identified in the description of Loconeurotic Syndrome (SLN) presented in 1999, comparing them to different manifestations in professionals from three elementary schools in Rio de Janeiro, in 2010. The methodology used to conduct the study has a qualitative and cartographic basis, and is supported by records of aesthetic observations and results of analysis of the teachers' discourses, from recordings of discussion groups and life histories. The results indicate the presence of the typical SLN indicators of exposure to psychosocial threats, especially in light of failures in the social support, camaraderie, and domain of one's own doing.

Keywords : Loconeurotic Ssyndrome; Psychosocial Threats; Teaching Work; Social Support.
