Abstract

PACHECO, Tais Poncio  and  SILVA, Rosália Maria Passos da. Psychosocial risk for public university workers in Brazil's northern region. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.1, pp. 335-344. ISSN 1984-6657.  http://dx.doi.org/10.17652/rpot/2018.1.13388.

This article presents the results of an institutional study done at a public university in Brazil's Northern Region. The study was carried out with university employees and had the general objective of understanding how the work is organized and the positive or negative impacts on workers. The research was divided into two steps. This text will present the results obtained from the use of the Protocol for the Evaluation of Psychosocial Risks of Work (PROART) and a questionnaire for collecting socio-demographic data. The data analysis was based on theoric perspectives of Work Clinics, especially the Psychodynamics of Work, which is the base theory for the chosen instrument. It was observed that the workers presented medium risk on the work organization scale, which raises an alert on the need for interventions, in the short and medium-term, that can transform the situations related to the division of tasks and social division of the work.
