Abstract

SEIDL, Juliana; LEANDRO-FRANCA, Cristineide  and  MURTA, Sheila Giardini. Impact and support evaluation of a retirement planning course. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.4, pp. 494-502. ISSN 1984-6657.  http://dx.doi.org/10.17652/rpot/2018.4.14732.

The research goal was to evaluate the perceived in-depth impact of training and support for the transfer of training for public workers who participated in an online course about retirement planning programs, as well to examine the relationship between these variables. The measures were answered, six months after the training, by 171 participants. Quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques were adopted. Respondents moderately applied the competencies learned in the work context. Material support was perceived as higher than psychosocial support, but the psychosocial was found to be a significant predictor of the perceived in-depth impact at work, while the material support was not. In addition, 43.48% of the participants mentioned that the organization implemented or improved its respective retirement planning programs. Future editions of these training programs could be preceded by needs assessment and could have their impact evaluated by mixed methods and multiple respondents.

Keywords : personnel training; distance education; retirement.
