This research investigated the influence of factors that compose successful career perception; informational, emotional, and instrumental support at work; and self-efficacy and dispositional hope regarding engagement at work, through a positive psychology study with 283 managers from the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. The collection was cross-sectional, using a labor sociodemographic questionnaire and the following scales: Utrecht Work Engagement (UWES), Career Success Perception scale (EPSC), Social Support at Work (EPSST), and the General Self-Efficacy and Dispositional Hope scale. From the Spearman correlation and the analysis of linear regression, the existence of informational support, development, identity, and dispositional hope and instrumental support have been evidenced to , positively and significantly predict the engagement in work of managers, with informational support being the most predictive factor.
