SANTOS, Igor Schutz dos; SIEGA, Caroline Michels  and  CARVALHO, Fabiana Mendes de. VIDAS Program for retirement orientation: reaction and impact evaluation. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.1, pp. 1374-1379. ISSN 1984-6657.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5935/rpot/2021.1.21011.

Retirement is one of the most important stages in the lives of workers and can be a source of suffering or satisfaction. To contribute to and support retirement decisions and career planning, retirement orientation programs are critical. The present study reports the experience of the VIDAS retirement orientation program through three specific objectives: describe its structure, evaluate the reaction to the encounters, and evaluate the impact of the program on the perception of future and retirement planning processes of participants. Results indicated adequacy of the structure of meetings and participant satisfaction. The impact assessment indicated a significant increase in the perception of the future when leaving work and in all dimensions of retirement planning after the program. The importance of a program like VIDAS is related to interdisciplinary work and the relevance of its evaluation.

Keywords : retirement; professional development; program evaluation.
