The COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenges for Brazilian families, including the management of personal finances. Thus, the objective of this study is to present,in an experience report, the results of a virtual financial education workshop for students, family members and the community around a Federal Educational Institution. The workshop lasted 3 hours and had 30 participants. Issues related to strategies to deal with personal finances, tools to record expenses, financial planning, and emotional aspects that influence the use of money were presented. The workshop allowed reflections on the management of personal finance, in order to provide greater awareness of the risks and opportunities for the construction of financial well-being, which can be a generator of health and quality of life. Finally, the development of financial education virtual practices is important to help deal with challenging moments.
