The present study investigated papers concerning spirituality and/or depressive symptoms in brazilian college students. A systematic review of literature was performed in LILACS database from 2003 to 2013. There were found 137 publications, but only 10 of them met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. These papers were organized and discussed in three categories: 1) Spirituality, religion and religiosity, 2) Spirituality and Health, 3) Depression, spirituality and university context. We noticed that only two articles sought to establish correlations between variables spirituality and depression in a university context, the other productions addressed these variables in isolation.
