Abstract

In this article I highlight the importance of a search field for the training of the researcher. I emphasize that the previous preparation does not eliminate the anguish before his entry into the field. I present my approach, showing how I scoured through all the spaces of the field, aiming to understand how adults and children lived. I argue that even careful with my performance on the field, I was not free from embarrassment, social mistrust and community control. I believe this was because my approach also involved children when I was not under the protection of a specific institution. I conclude that the entry into the field, and the approach to the people can have direct consequences for the conduct of research and their results.
