Abstract

Contemporary settings of work are permeated by flexible labor arrangements and various forms of employability. In this context, the public policy appears as an alternative to alleviate the very insecurity of these configurations, while suffering the effects. This research sought to examine how professionals have joined the devices linked to Social Assistance Policy. By utilizing a qualitative approach, we interviewed five professionals working in social assistance policy of a municipality in the State of Parana, among which three were psychologists. Based on the results, which indicate the precariousness in labor relations and social assistance networks, among other aspects, we discuss some challenges that must be considered in the effectuation of social policies in Brazil.
