This paper proposes a reflection on the manners of scientific research and its relation to the production of knowledge in the University. Three central questions will guide this study: what kind of learning or knowledge is produced in the University? How is it produced in the sense of method used? And what is the concept of subject worked with? Depending on the answers to these questions there are different possibilities of scientific research: these are based on ethics and paradigms that meet or move away from dichotomous and technicist methods of knowledge production.
