The use of psychoactive substances (PS) has become a serious public health problem worldwide. The addiction eventually brings damages related to the social environment of the individual and cognition. It is known that most individuals who use SPA, end up having failures in executive functioning., Hhowever there seems to be consensus that dissociation of components are most affected / unaffected. Thus, this study aims to characterize through a clinical case of an executive functioning drug addict Crack / Cocaine, Marijuana Addiction and Nicotine Dependence. The J.R. patient male is 30 years old , 8 years of formal study .The instruments used to assess executive functioning of the patient were: Test Cancellation of the Bells - Version 2; Test Wisconsin Card Sorting - 48 cards, Hayling Test, Iowa Gambling Task, and the subtests of the Montreal Battery of Evaluation of Communication semantic verbal fluency, spelling and phonemic - free. The Adult Self-Report ScaleASRS and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) BDI - II scores helped to diagnose comorbidities. Is loss of visual focused attention skills and speed of visuospatial processing as well as in decision-making and verbal fluency with phonemic-orthographic criteria. Studies addressing one focused on treating cognitive deficits of each patient to better adherence to abstinence and consequently a complete remission is suggested.
