Dementia caregivers are susceptible to experience depression symptoms; this is likely to produce other health problems that might seriously affect their quality of life. This study analyzes and describes the relationship between depression and quality of life in a group of dementia caregivers from Bogota, Colombia. It is concluded that depression affects the physical and mental health of people exposed to chronic stress.
